Due to the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, IKEM Academy 2020 is going digital. Our application process remains the same, but the event will be free. Please check out our updated FAQs for more details.
Frequently asked questions
Is the IKEM Academy still happening?
Yes! Due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19 and uncertainty about the kinds of travel and event restrictions that will be in place in July, we’ve decided to digitalise the Academy this year. Our programme will still offer world-class, expert-led seminars and presentations!
How do I apply?
Apply online by filling out an application form here.
Applicants meeting academic and professional requirements will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Even though the Academy will be digitalised this year, the number of spaces is still limited, and early applications are encouraged.
What are the fees?
We have decided to waive all participation fees for the 2020 IKEM Academy. As in previous years, however, we’ll limit the number of participants to ensure that everyone can engage as closely as possible with each other and our speakers. As a result, the application process for this year’s Academy remains unchanged.
Will the programme change?
Except for the site visits, which aren’t possible under the present circumstances, the content of the Academy programme will not change. We’re currently working with our speakers and workshop leaders to adapt their sessions to the new format.
Will the sessions be recorded?
We’re currently working with our speakers to ensure that sessions are recorded. Please check back for updates.
Can I apply for a certificate?
Yes, those who participate in all three days of the programme will be eligible to apply for a certificate.
What does this mean for future Academies?
While we’re excited to explore the opportunities of a digital Academy this year, we plan to return to the programme’s original in-person format in the years to come. We’re already looking forward to the apéros and farewell barbeques of the future!
