Yes! IKEM Academy 2024 will take place in person in Berlin, Germany.

IKEM is located at Magazinstr. 15–16, 10179 Berlin, Germany. The building is near Alexanderplatz, a major public transit hub close to many of Berlin’s major tourist attractions.

Applicants are selected based on academic and/or profes­sional quali­fi­ca­tions and must have experience relevant to the conference topic. Qualified appli­cants are selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of spaces is limited, so we encourage you to apply early.

Please note that IKEM Academy is a non-profit event. Registration and catering fees are used only to cover event costs.

The number of meals covered by your regis­tration fee depends on whether you’ve regis­tered to attend the full or partial programme.

If you’ve regis­tered to attend the full IKEM Academy programme, your regis­tration and catering fee will cover the welcome dinner, lunches and the farewell barbecue.

If you’ve regis­tered to attend a partial programme, your regis­tration fee will cover lunch on the day(s) you’ve selected to attend, as well as the farewell barbecue.

No, the admin­is­tration fee does not cover the costs of travelling to or from IKEM Academy or the costs of lodging during your stay.

Need- or merit-based schol­ar­ships (e.g. for travel and accom­mo­dation) are not available, but partial funding is provided for event partic­i­pation. Participants are only required to contribute a small regis­tration and catering fee.

Yes, we offer assis­tance to IKEM Academy appli­cants who need a visa to enter Germany. Contact us for more information.

Yes, partic­i­pants who attend 3 or more days of the Academy are eligible to apply for a certificate of completion. Contact us for more information.

Mobile apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps and Citymapper are useful mapping tools that can help you navigate the city. BVG FahrInfo Plus and BVG tickets Berlin offer Berlin-area transport maps, along with an option to purchase many local transit tickets directly via app.
